Social research & action for real empowerment

The Women Empowerment Project emerged from the doctoral research of Tiyana Jovanovic, whose research brdiges the enduring gap between theory and practice in the domains of development and women’s studies.

By making her research findings open access, Tiyana aims to catalyse researchers, practitioners and policymakers alike to reimagine their approach to women’s empowerment.

The empowerment framework emphasises the necessity for holistic, process-driven interventions that nurture the ignition of ‘transformative power’—a universal catalyst for change where each woman’s unique narrative converges with the universal quest for empowerment.
